of Bishop John B. McCormack

of Bishop John B. McCormack's deposition, together with all 85 exhibits.
McCormack was deposed in five sessions, beginning on June 3, 2002,
and ending on November 22, 2002. His testimony provides a review
of many archdiocesan documents relating to Paul Shanley and other
accused priests, and it offers a detailed retrospective on McCormack's
service under Cardinal Law.
Law named McCormack his Secretary for Ministerial Personnel in November
1984, and made him his first Delegate, a position created by the
1993 Sexual Misconduct Policy. McCormack was both Secretary and
Delegate until 1994, when Paul E. Miceli became Secretary and Brian
Flatley became Delegate. McCormack was ordained auxiliary bishop
of Boston in 1995 and became bishop of Manchester in 1998.
